Fun In The Sun

Hello everyone!! If you live in England you will know that it has been unusually hot this weekend and most of this week! I originate from Wales so I am really not used to hot weather and I just awkwardly walk around when its hot. So, with this in mind, On Sunday afternoon I awkwardly walked around the village with some friends! It was so lovely to relax and just wander around! If you haven't yet tried this, you really should!

Me and Alicia sitting on the bridge very dramatically and it looks like we are deep in thought, when actually we were trying not to laugh because we couldn't actually see anything as the beams of the bridge were in the way.
We were doing cartwheels and rolypoly's in the park, but little did we know one of my neighbours was watching us and laughing ha
[From Left to Right: Holly, Me & Lauren. Alicia was taking the picture]
This looks like I was posing but I was actually just picking a bouquet of daises to give to Lauren haha

What did you do this weekend? Let me know!
Thank you to Lauren, Holly & Alicia for a lovely afternoon :-)

P.S There might not be another post until next Wednesday as I am going away with the school for a bit, but I promise it shall be worth the wait! x

'Gifted and Talented' rant

Hello everyone!! It's Friday, and unlike most of the teenager population that are out partying, i'm sitting here with a cup of tea writing a blog post. Just the way I like it :)

Well this is literally going to be a rant about the school scheme of 'Gifted and Talented', which is when the best and clever-ist students get picked to do this amazing opportunity that puts them one step ahead of the rest of us. I absolutely hate this scheme because whats the point in it? It makes every other student feel not good enough and I felt like that for the majority of year 7, 8 and 9. But now I have just learnt to resent it. Surely, the less academically able students (who try) should be getting the opportunities to encourage further study?  I understand that most people don't want to try in school and that's why they aren't as clever, but people who obviously want to do well but find it hard should be rewarded for there efforts in a way that will help them in other areas. I understand some people think "well you can't not reward the smart students because they'll stop trying" Yeah of course they should find a way to reward them, but I don't agree with giving them opportunities that they could already get without the 'gifted and talented' scheme. Opportunities like college trips or something should be offered to those who would maybe not find it so easy to get noticed for opportunities like this normally.
I understand that this may come across as jealously etc but honestly it's not, in fact I recently got chosen for Gifted and Talented in Spanish (I don't even know how), but I immediately decided not to go on it because I hate everything about the fact they single you out.
All my school cares about is the smart ones who will reflect highly of the school, the others they couldn't give a crap about.

Well, I just needed to say that because it annoys me so much! At least it's the weekend and I'm seeing The Midnight Beast and Bastille tomorrow so I'm a happy girl :-)
Have a good weekend!!

My Reaction To Your Reaction

Hello everyone! Well this post is mostly a response to my last post so to understand this you'll need to read that, sorry!
My last post was mainly about how I felt recently towards my blog etc etc and ironically, it was probably one of my post popular posts which is amazing as I felt like it wasn't just me, other bloggers had/are feeling like that now and people understood what I was saying (I thought that post was one of those things that only sounds good in your head, but obviously it sounded good in other people's too!)
It was so nice to say how I felt and for people to relate and understand, I thought I might of had at least one mean comment but all of them were lovely and supportive :)
So thank you everyone for it, it really blew me away! Hope you all enjoy this 3 day weekend, you all deserve it
*Excuse the awful hand-writing*

My weekend

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend! Mine was exciting but in the wrong type of way. I've always wished that I had a more exciting life, maybe you really do have to be careful about what you wish for.

Saturday
On Saturday, I did the usually. I went to Cats Protection to work and then afterwards went to my friend Alicia's party, which was lovely and her cats could be a circus act (they were back flipping!!) By the time I got home it was about 9 'o' clock at night and to be honest I just wanted to sleep. So, I went upstairs and finished 'The perks of being a wall flower' (which I absolutely loved and probably going to go and see the movie soon) When my mum called me downstairs and told me that my sister has had an allergic reaction to Vaseline and we need to go to hospital.(Right, basically when she was 7 she had a massive allergic reaction to nuts and the doctor's told us to avoid nuts from then on. But stupidly we bought a almond Vaseline  which she then put on her lips.)  and so by this time it was about 11:30 pm, and we rushed to A & E where she got seen immediately. It was about - I don't know - 2:30 on Sunday morning when I got a pack of the sweet's Randoms, this is irrelevant to the story but it was the first time I had Randoms at 2:30 in the morning ok it was a special moment. We didn't get out of the hospital until about 3:30 am and then didn't get back home until about 4 am! My sister was fine afterwards and it was a long day.

Sunday
My Sunday didn't really start until about 2 in the afternoon as that was the time we got up after our late night. So, as a reward for being so good ( aw I sound like a 7 year old aw) My parents got me and my sister a good ol' Costa. It was going so well until Hannah got a delayed reaction and unfortunately had to go to hospital again. I persuaded my parents to let me stay at home as I've discovered I'm absolutely terrified of hospitals. So, my parents and sister didn't return until about 10 at night. I made my own dinner and everything. wow.

So that was my weekend, well more like event. I hope yours was good.
*Just a quick reminder that Dan & Phil have their own radio show on Sundays on Radio 1 between 7 and 9 pm ok and no they're not paying me to say this*
