Cats Protection Open Day!!

Hello everyone!! Yesterday (Saturday) I participated in an Cats protection open day seeing as I work there :) If you don't know, Cats protection is a charity that re-home lost or unwanted cats to loving owners :) So, basically my job is to fuss and love cats!
Anyway, It was such a cute day and I had the pleasure of helping run a stall that had games like 'Hook-a-duck' and 'Hoopla'!
It was such a nice day with so many people, I even got asked for a photo with my sister for the newspaper! I also had to supervise people who wanted to look at cats, all together 17 cats were adopted in one day, amazing!
Also, my mum entered a raffle and won a BMW convertible for a weekend, I honestly can't wait to ride in it!
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for cats protection then use this link to find the nearest shelter and they should provide an email, or you can just pop in and ask for a volunteer form :)
I would just like to say that at the moment I am really enjoying blogging and I'm really thankful that you seem to be enjoying reading it :)
So, How was your Weekend?

Baby Birds!

Hello Everyone! Firstly, I would just like to say thank you all for 5500 blog views & for such a nice response to my 'Meeting Dan & Phil' post! I'm really happy that you are enjoying my blog :-)

Last Wednesday, I had a very dramatic evening! I just came home from school, ready to procrastinate on the internet when I was frantically called into the living room. It turns out that during the day, seeing as my sister has now finished school (insanely jealous), she found 2 baby bluetits in the garden! Unfortunately, they were surrounded by 3 dead ones, but we took the alive ones into our house and just stood there looking at them thinking "what the hell are we supposed to do with these?!"

*sorry for the bad quality photos*
I genuinely felt like Snow White because the baby birds would hop onto my hands and most of the time refused to leave!
Anyway, I was trying to figure out what to do with these abandoned birds because apparently you had to feed them every hour! I couldn't do that, I didn't even know what to feed them! Eventually, when I went to check on them, they both just looked up at me with their mouths open, I started to panic. I wasn't prepared to go hunting for worms and mash them up, So instead I got some meaty cat food, smashed it up very finely and this seemed to do the trick.
This bit was adorable, after the many feeds and sips of water, the baby birds fell asleep next to each other and we decided to take them to an wildlife center.

I actually don't know why I'm putting this up because I am pulling the most
 unattractive face, but hey  he was sitting on my finger!
We gave my newly adopted children to Hart Wildlife who are taking brilliant care of them and even gave as a reference number if we want to know how they are doing :-)

 Have you ever found any wildlife in need of help?

Giveaway?

Hello everyone!! So recently I have been considering hosting a giveaway! I have been thinking about doing this for some time now, but the problem I kept encountering is what I would giveaway? The only idea I have is Lush, either a gift-box or my individual favourite items. Also, I don't think I would be able to ship worldwide as for a 15 year old girl, the cost would be overwhelming! However, I can guarantee you that I definitely will do an international one when I start to earn money for myself as I don't want to cause a strain on my parents at the moment :-)

The idea of this post was just a suggestion and I would like some inspiration about what to giveaway! It would probably have to be something either beauty related or jewelry.
If you think this is a good idea, then let me know!

Have a good weekend :)

Meeting Dan & Phil!

Hello everyone! So as many of you already know, I met Dan & Phil on my birthday which is crazy because one of my first blog posts were about them and I have loved them for a long time now, so meeting them was like meeting jesus. (If you don't know who Dan & Phil are, google Danisnotonfire and AmazingPhil)
I met them after their radio show on BBC Radio one (which is where I desperately want to work when I'm older) and I thought that this post would probably be better if I just wrote it like a script, like who said what otherwise it may get confusing!!
Right so, Dan & Phil came out and there were barriers to stop you from jumping on them [fans really are that crazy, they do it with the best intentions] but I was at the opposite side of the barriers to them and since they are lovely people, they made sure that every singe fan got a chance for a photo and a conversation. This meant I had to wait a good hour but in the meantime I was talking to some lovely fans and dan & phil were a couple feet away so I was happy to wait patiently.
Also, whilst waiting I got talking to their producer and she was so lovely, that she told the body guard that it was my birthday and he then told Dan & Phil! They then missed a couple of people (they returned to them afterwards) to come and see me! So, this was the conversation I guess!
Bodyguard: Boys, it's her birthday! *points to me*
Dan: *turns and looks around* who? where?
Producer: over here *turns to me*
[Dan & Phil come over]
Dan: It's your birthday?! well happy birthday! [he was very sincere, bless him]
Phil: Happy birthday!!
Me: Thank you! Happy birthday for you Dan on Tuesday!
Dan: *puts his hand on his heart* Thank you! *startes to laugh*
Producer and Bodyguard: Sing her happy birthday!
Dan &Phil: *laugh awkwardly*
Dan: Would a like birthday hug? *startes to laugh as he could probably see my excitement in my eyes and opens his arms ready for our embrace*
Me: Yes!
~~ WE HUGGED~~
Phil: *opens his arms, he didn't even need to ask*
~~WE HUGGED~~
Dan: What's this? *hinting towards the picture i wanted them to sign*
Me: *nervously hands it to them because I didn't understand what was happening I don't even*
Dan: oh do you want us to sign it?
Me: *laughs* no [sarcastically of course]
Dan: *laughs* oh shall we just keep it or?.. [also sarcastic]
Phil: *laughs and we catch awkward eye contact*
Dan: *signs picture with ':Dan' and hands over to phil*
Dan: ahh squeaky pen
Me: omg I hate that noise so much
Dan & Phil: *laugh*
Dan: I know me too it's like [pulls a funny face]
Phil: *signs it with ' Phil <3 Happy Birthday! x'
Me: Thank you *takes picture back* do you mind if we have a photo and a funny one too?
Dan & Phil: Yeah that's fine!!
* I handed my friend the camera and walked back to have a picture with them, but they were next too each other so I was just going to stand awkwardly on the end but dan and phil parted and made a cute little space in-between them which they liked pulled me into bless them*
We then had this photo:

But bless him, Phil (on the right) Blinked because he forgot about the flash and so he squeaked! So we all laughed and we agreed to have another one, which is this one:

This one was the normal one and then we had the goofty one, which in-between the photos dan turned to me and said "this is the derp one right yeah" and I found it so sweet (I'm a fangirl ok everything they do I find cute) and me and Phil were hip to hip aw I'm just reliving memories.

Me: Thank you!
Dan: Its fine *goes back to the people he missed*
Me: *Turns to Phil* Congrats on 900,000 subscibers! It must be amazing
Phil: oh thank you, Yeah, it's scary thinking that many people are watching me!
Me: It must be, just imagine that many people watching you on a stage is so scary
Phil: It is, but then I meet lovely fans like you.

That's it really, but I'm so grateful to have met them as they are so nice! If you would like to meet them, you just need to wait outside BBC radio until they come out (which is about 9:20) but if you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment and ask :)

Liebster blog award!

Hello everyone!! So today, I have been nominated by a lovely girl called Rosie, whose blog is definitely worth checking out! Thank you so much Rosie ♡.
Right, so despite walking an entire 21 miles over the weekend with a 10.5 kg rucksacks on my back (that's a post for another day) I have decided to blog and continue the Liebster blog award chain :-)
If you don't know what it is, the Liebster blog award is a chain post that allows bloggers with under 200 followers to get the recognition they deserve! However, there are some rules!
  1. You have to link back to the person who nominated you..
  2. You have to answer the eleven questions in the Liebster post from the blogger who nominated you..
  3. You then have to choose eleven bloggers who have less than 200 followers and nominate them..
  4. You need to then come up with eleven questions for your nominees to answer..
  5. Lastly, go to their blogs and let them know they've been nominated!

Here are the questions & answers that were left from the lovely Rosie!

1. What colour is your underwear today?
Haha! Such a good question, white with pink hearts on them :-)
2. What is your favourite online store?
This always changes, but at the moment it would be Zara.

3. Favourite memory?
I have so many good ones that I'd love to relieve, but the best one would probably be my birthday this year when I went to London with my family & bestfriend and then met Dan & Phil (which has reminded me to blog about, thanks)

4. Favourite type of accessory?
Necklaces definitely, I feel naked without one!
5. What is your prize possession?
My bag from Zara I got :)

6. Best website?

7. What is the last thing you did before reading this?
Ate half a bag of chocolate covered raisins - I'm an addict.
8. Sunglasses or hats?
Probably sunglasses because my hair is so thick that if I wore a hat I would look like a squished potato.
9. Candles or Incense?
Candles - Incense give me headaches!
10. Favourite type of chocolate?
I'm going to go really posh here and say Hotel Chocolat :)
11. If chicken breast had nipples would you eat it?
Not even kidding I have been thinking about this question for about 10 minutes deciding whether or not chickens actually have nipples so I googled it and it turns out they do, which is good for them I guess but i'm so so fussy when it comes to meat, so no, I don't think I would :)

11 Questions to you!

  1.  What is your favourite food?
  2. Cold weather or hot?
  3. Who are your inspirations?
  4. What would you do first if you had the power to pause time?
  5. Favourite store?
  6. What would you be your dream job?
  7. Who are the people who mean the most to you?
  8. Cats or dogs?
  9. Favourite memory?
  10. What is your special talent?
  11. If you could bring anyone back from the dead, who would you bring?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The fabulous people I have nominated are....
That's it! You may have noticed that I only did about 10 people instead of 11 because most of the blogs I follow unfortuantely have more than 200 followers! but I am happy to follow more blogs so if you have a beauty, lifestyle or fashion blog, feel free to leave your blog link below :-)
My Birthday!
Hello everyone! so you may or may not of known but on Sunday it was my birthday :-) I thought since it's my birthday, I would go up to London with my bestfriend and my family to do things and visit places. Unfortunately, I couldn't take all of you but I took photos for you, if that counts?
So lets start right at the beginning. I got a 'swag' cake from my friend Lauren because we ironically on purpose use the word swag to mock it. Thanks Lauren!!
(such a good cake)
Then I opened all of my presents, which I am beyond happy with!! I got the Zara bag  and perfume I have mentioned  previously and loads of really cool stuff! (including enough food to last me a life time - Thank you for the poptarts Alicia)
So lets excuse the dog bed and dirty carpet, but yeah this is what I got!
Ok, so after all the excitement of present opening we went to London with Holly to visit shops, eat and go to Radio 1 to meet Dan & Phil!! We started off going to Lazy oaf but i was too in awe to take a picture (sorry) and then we headed out to M&M world (also known as Heaven) Where I spent more than socially acceptable on M&M's!
Literally, you could smell the chocolate before you even entered the store! by this time we were quite hungry and so we found this lovely little place called Byron's in Soho which had literally had THE best chicken burgers and peach ice tea ever!
 Please go and visit these guys!! They have great service and do the most amazing food for a decent price!!
After a lovely meal, we headed to the south bank where we saw some Midnight Beast posters in the Skatepark! (which needs saving, please sign this petition)
Now by this time it was 8:30 and Dan & Phil's show ends at 9, so we headed over to BBC radio one (which I now want need to work at!) and waited. While we were waiting with about 20 other girls, this man walked infront of us and everyone started to scream and ran over to him. I had absolutely no idea who it was until afterwards, at first I thought it was Joe Jonas from the Jonas brothers and so I got a bit confused when everyone got excited to see him (No offense if you like the Jonas brothers)
BUT it was actually Sky from Mamma Mia, which is pretty cool I guess.
Then we queued and got talking to these lovely girls who had spent £80 on a present for Dan & Phil whilst I just bought a birthday card for Dan. (his birthday is today)
Then, of course Dan & Phil came out, and I couldn't believe it was really them, it was so surreal! But because it was my birthday, I got priorities which you will find out about in my next post dedicated to meeting Dan & Phil (pictures with them will be included!)
Hope you enjoyed this post, it was fun reliving memories :')
Keep smiling!
How to care for thick hair
Hello everyone! You already know but my hair but my hair is extremely thick (I hate it, but that's a post for another day) So because it's so thick it needs some extra care, otherwise it genuinely does resemble a bush. Here are some products that I use:
Right,so I used to use a simple de-frizz shampoo and conditioner because i thought it would work better, but instead it left my hair more damaged and if anything worse than before. I have yet to try the John Frieda Frizz Ease shampoo (If you have a review on this than please comment with the link!) but as till then the L'Oreal Elvive full restore 5 repairing shampoo and masque work amazingly well. I always come back to these as they leave my hair in the best possible condition and generally my hair looks healthier. It also makes my hair less knotty and more easy to manage. However, over the time when I was using a de-frizz shampoo, I invested in the TRESemme keratin deep treatment masque to try and restore my hair to it's previous healthy (ish) state, and it worked a treat!
So that's my shower time done, then I use the TRESemme Platinum strength softening serum (on the bottle it says to use only 'a few pumps' but I have to use at least 6 for it to go through the many layers of hair I have) I'm really not sure what to think of this, because it seems to make my hair more greasy and I haven't really seen an improvement of the look either - but i'm going to keep using it until it runs out. I then comb through with a tangle teezer which I only got a couple of weeks ago but I think it is a definite must hair for thick haired people like me!
The products:
Tangle Teezer
TRESemme Platinum strength softening serum
L'Oreal Elvive full restore 5 repairing shampoo
L'Oreal Elvive full restore 5 repairing masque
TRESemme keratin deep treatment masque
Because I'm so young, obviously i'm not experienced with hair care and so if you know of a great product to make thick hair more manageable and softer or you just have some general tips, please let me know!
Keep smiling!
~Thanks for reading~
P.s Quick side note, it's my birthday this weekend and so I won't post until Monday or later :-)
Ways to Relax
Hello everyone! It's literally so easy to get me stressed - you could just say "Homework" and I'll tense up! (can you imagine what I'm like when I'm actually doing it?) Here are some little
tricks I have learnt to relax and de-stress :)
Relieve yourself from the atmosphere that makes you stressed:
Obviously you can't at this at school, but whenever you can escape the stressed situation and have a cup of tea while a cheeky cake, not forever - you have to come back to whatever is stressful, but make sure you come back refreshed and with a positive attitude, which links nicely to the point.
 Do something that makes you happy:
Take a break (have a kit kat) Go on a walk or bake a cake, whatever relaxes you and will allow you to think things over.
Don't over-stress:
No matter how important the task maybe, don't let it ruin your mood. You won't do anything with a negative attitude! It won't be the end of the world if you just take a minute or two to chill.
Have a bath :
Run a nice warm bath and add your favourite bah bomb/bubbles. (I personally would add Dragons Egg by Lush) I think baths are genuinely the answer to all problems because it gives you time to yourself where you don't have to worry about anything.
Break it up:
If you really think 'I can't take a break - It's too urgent!' then at least get a cup of tea and break the work up. For example, do 20 minutes then have a 5 minute break, and work like that. That's how I revise and it works wonders :)
Visit these websites
There is something called 'The Quiet Place Project' and basically it provides a place to relax and say what you think - but nobody will ever read it. This has relaxed me so much and I really suggest you try it!
The Quiet Place
The Thoughts Room
Hopefully these have helped, but what are your tips? I always need more!
