Music Monday #2

Hello Everyone! So today is Monday which means that it's time for my top 5 songs of the week! I have  done this once before last week, so if you would like to read it you can check it out here

1. Follow Me - Muse
I recently bought their album 'The 2nd Law' and it's probably one of the best albums I own, this being one of my favourite songs on it.

2. Good Intentions - Hoodie Allen
If you read my last Music Monday, you would of seen that I included another one of Hoodie's from the album ' Crew Cuts' well, this is my next favourite!

3. Boy - Nina Nesbitt
Nina Nesbitt is slowly growing on me, I'm beginning to really like her. I think it's because her voice is so unique ... but this is a good song either way!

4. Just Say Yes - Snow Patrol
I forgot how good and meaningful this song was until Zoella revealed what it meant to her and know it makes sense, and makes the song beautiful! (If you want to read about what it means to her, check it out here )

5. Laura Palmer - Bastille
This song was only released as a single a week r two ago, but I had already heard it on the album and became insanely addicted to it. Also, the video is really creative!

Well, That was my second Music Monday! I hope you enjoyed this :) x

Some Beautiful Nail Polishes

Hello everyone! So I normally I do a post on Friday nights and not over the weekend, but seeing as I didn't do one Friday night (because I was crying over My Mad Fat Diary, It's too soon to talk about it) So I thought I'd do a surprise blog post...SURPRISE!
Right so completely accidentally I came across the nicest nail polish's when I was surfing the internet and I thought I'd spend the love and show you!
(Picture from Handbag.com)
Right so this is the first bunch of beauties. These are by Kelly Brook and are literally called 'Kelly Brook' . I have only seen them online and I can't find where to buy them, but apparently and hopefully (fingers crossed) their home is New Look. I have fallen totally in love with the 3 Peach/light pink colours in the top left picture! They just look absolutely amazing and I think if I ever see these in real life then I'll literally take the whole shelf!
(Picture from Boots.com)
Right so, these babies are from the Maybelline brand and they are called  "Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish". As you can see they look pretty amazing from the picture, so just wait until you see the colours! There are so so many colours to choose from in this range so good luck trying to decide on a favourite. The colours that I would get (going from left to right) are: Wine Shimmer,  Orange Attack (what a beauty), Moss, and Peach Smoothie, although I practically love all of them!

What ones would you get?
The article about Kelly Brook's Nail varnish collection is here

The Maybelline Colour show is here

(Also if any of you spot the kelly brooks nail varnish whilst you're out and about please let me know!)
Hope you all have had a nice day and Don't forget to tell me your reactions to this post below ^.^

Some Quick Snaps

Hello everyone! Well we're half way through the week so hold on, the weekend is near! I hope you have all had a good half week, the weather has been nice enough! Look, there wasn't a cloud in the sky (unlike right now where all I can see is cloud but then again it is England so)
Yes, I took a photo of the sky, but only because having a clear sky is so rare in England, that you need to appreciate it when there is one. *This photo is unedited, it really was that blue.*

I don't know if anyone cares but I had like 5 power cuts and I resorted to playing charades with the family, which was a nice throwback to my childhood. It was also quite nice navigating around the house with candles, but the fact that my pizza was in the oven ,not cooking was sad. But anyway, here are some pictures I took of the candles (This was my entertainment in our powerless house)

Quite proud of this one if i'm honest
Also quite proud of this one.
Not so proud of this one... I only like it because the inside of the lantern reminds me of Hogwarts for some strange reason
Well, I thought my blog needed a bit more pictures and I hope this did the job. :)
Goodbyeeee ★

Music Monday #1

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? I went to the beach on Sunday and it was really relaxing! unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures (because I forgot) Otherwise I would of put some in right about now... I have also been so so busy revising Science as I have my first GCSE on the 14th of May *eek* So
I haven't really prepared a blog post, but I just thought of a good idea! What if every Monday I told you my top 5 favourite songs of that week? I'll give it a go :)

1. Technicolour - Mumm-ra : I only recently found out about this song from the lovely Tanya Burr's new video and I really love it!
  2. Stay Out - Nina Nesbitt: I heard this song a lot of times on the radio and to be honest, it took me a good 6 times to like it, but now I can't stop listening to it :)

3. Fame is for a******s by Hoodie Allen: I found out about this rapper by the song "The Chase Is On" which I still really love! You have to have a certain music taste to like this guy I think, It's the type of artist you either love or hate.*might contain some rude words, just a heads up*
4. Weight Of Living Pt 1 by Bastille: I am so excited to see these guys next month because all of there songs are absolutely amazing, but this is one of my favourite! It's so upbeat and happy! *I can't find a video of it, but it's on their debut album 'Bad Blood'*
5. No words - The Script : This is one of my favourite songs on the album for some unknown reason because it's not as exciting as Hall of Fame, but it's still pretty damn good!
So that's it really! Do you like this idea? Let me know!

Products I Would Like To Try

.
Hello everyone! It's the weekend again, which means we all made it though another lengthy week. I'm not a girly girl, I don't wear a lot of make up but there are some products that ,if I did wear more make up, I would like to try, so I guess here they are! ^.^

This is the NARS Happening Palette and from the reviews I have heard and seen, apparently it's absolutely perfect for a natural look because the shades are not too bright or too dark. This palette includes blusher (Left) A variety or very nice eye shadows (Middle) and a bronzer (right).     I would use this if I didn't have a flubbery face and yes I still so have my baby cheeks, so there would be no point in a bronzer, my cheeks are beyond saving.

The next thing is Yves Saint Laurent Candy Volupte Lipstick. This just looks amazing and Zoella did review a similar lipstick but this one is different, but only slightly. This is one of the things that I just see and get attached too. I would preferably like it in a natural and light colour, so that I could wear it more often. I'm guessing this is top of the range make up as it's £24! However,  I have no doubt that it's worth it.

This next thing is something that I will most definitely get soon! *expect a review* It's the AYESHA fresh face mask from Lush (surprise surprise) Lush say "When you don’t have a flame of immortality to bathe in, try this instead." Which I think makes this extremely tempting and I already know from trying other Lush face masks that they always feel fresh on your skin and hydrating.

These are three things I would like to try, If you have tried them, then feel free to tell me what they were like :) Hope you all have a brilliant weekend!

Blogging Tips

Hello Everyone! How are you all? So unfortunately *sigh* I have returned to school and counting down the days until half term, but anyway I thought today It would be useful if I did a post about blogging tips, It will be useful for me too so this is a win win situation really! Now, I understand I'm not a big blogger and the likely hood of ordinary me becoming big is extremely unlikely so I'm probably not the best person to give blogging tips but hey every little helps right?

  1. Create a name: This is fairly obvious but I find it better to recognise different blogs if they have a very distinct name, something memorable.
  2. Decide on a theme to write about: You might of created a blog because of an interest for something inparticular like penguins and so you have decided to dedicate a whole part of your life to it, and so as it goes that's your theme. Or you can be like me, no theme (purely because I am so indecisive, I couldn't decide on one)
  3. Good grammar and punctuation: I always think blogs with good English (or whatever language you speak) looks more professional and more inviting. Obviously,I'm contradicting myself a bit here because I know that I have made a lot of mistakes, grammatically speaking.
  4. Colour schemes: Right, this is where some actual educated knowledge comes in. I study Media as a GCSE so I know that each colour has a different affect on the audience, for instance Black could mean mysterious, tense or dramatic. So, If you have a gaming or a movie review blog, than it would be better to have a dark theme as it creates tension whilst if you have a beauty blog, it would be better to have light colours as they are more inviting. However, If your blog has no theme like mine, then just pick whatever colour suits you best.
  5. Don't give up: I think most bloggers have wrote a post that flopped on it's face (well I hope most bloggers have otherwise I'm the only one) but the most important thing to think is to not give up because the more you try, the more it will pay off.
Some motivational quotes to keep you going:

"Good things come to those who wait, but the best things come to those who do"
"What comes easy won't last, What lasts won't come easy"

Please feel free to add some advice in the comments below if you have some good points!

Blog Re-design

Hello Everyone! Seeing as I'm awfully close to my 50th post, I thought to celebrate this little milestone, I would shake my blog up a little! As you can probably see, It's a little different! I tried a lot of different things, I was going to change the colour scheme and the background. I found a really nice style and I was so happy with it, but unfortunately it didn't work :( Although this one is perfectly nice too! So, why not make yourself at home? Come and sit down for a while. I've also added a reaction bar at the bottom so you can vote about how good/bad my post was. (seriously go all out-If you think it's bad, say it's bad. I won't take it personally, It will just help me determine which type of style you prefer) If there is anything wrong or you just simply think there is something I can improve, then please leave a comment!
Yay hope you all had a good weekend :)
p.s If you read my last post, you would know that my uncle is in Hospital due to a heart attack. Well, if you're wondering how he is doing, he's doing a lot better!

Quick Catch up!

Hello Everyone! You may have noticed that I haven't been blogging as well or as frequent lately (Sorry) but this week has been a kind of blur as there have been some major family issues that was my main priority  Unfortunately, my uncle has been taking to hospital following a heart attack and he is about to undertake a very bloody marriage breakup  and I guess he needs our support more than ever in the next couple of months. However, I will try my hardest to make sure my blogging is regular as we've hit the worst it can get, it can only get better now!
Anyway, How is everyone? School is almost upon me  (please don't make me go and face Spanish) and even the thought of school is making me stressed... I have already removed my nail polish ready for the schools prison like regulations :-(
Hope you all have a lovely weekend! ★

Things I want

Hello Everyone! How have you all been? I'm still on my school Easter holidays aka time to get fat without being judged, and that's exactly what I've done :) So seeing as I haven't really done anything other than eat and spend a huge majority of my free time on the internet, I have found a few things that I really want (need), I decided to share them with you :)

  • So this is the first thing, It's the Lazy Oaf Awesome Sweatpants . I don't have any bottoms to just laze around in, and I don't know why but I just really like these. I think they would be nice to travel in as they look really comfortable and would just do the job of the can't-be-bothered-but-I'm-trying look.

Image 1 of OFFICE CITY BAG from Zara

Big Pony for Women No.2
  • The next thing that caught my eye was this Zara office bag . I was noticed this when Zoella bought it and showed it in a haul, it looked amazing. I'm not really one for bags but this just look so smooth and soft and perfect, I just couldn't resist it!

  • This one is probably a priority to get, It's the POLO RALPH LAUREN . I first discovered it when someone in one of my classes sprayed it and it smelt amazing, but I didn't have the confidence to ask what it was. So, I activated my spy mode on and searched various perfume websites for the bottle that I saw! This is the mysterious perfume that I definitely need it.

Well those are my top three things I really need to get! What about you? Let me know :-)

Florida Present

Hello Everyone! Hope you're all having a good week and are looking forward to the weekend If you've been working/at school all week!
My friend Lauren (Who previosuly wrote a part of a blog post here) returned from sunny Florida last Monday and bought me a present! :) So I thought I'd show you what I got because I love it.

These are my favorite things ever

Right so, I am a big Harry Potter fan (well when I say big I mean I like it a lot, but I'm not a 'potterhead') and so It would only make sense to get me something from Harry Potter World, right? Lauren got me a Chocolate frog (which I haven't eaten yet...) and I got the Dumbledore card with it! It's also holographic so it actually looks like it moves like it does in the movie. I also got a Postcard from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which Lauren was nice enough to get stamped at Hogsmeade! I then got some Apple hand sanitiser which smells of what I would think America smells like :)
All this came in a Harry Potter bag! That was the cherry on top.

I sound like a nerd but I don't care, I have a chocolate frog from Harry Potter Land.
Thank you Lauren :-)

*REVIEW* Dream Cream by Lush

Hello everyone! Today, I thought I should do a review on a hand and body lotion by Lush (my much-loved favorite store) called 'Dream Cream'. Unfortunately, I didn't like this product, which is unusual because it's from Lush.
I got given this as a Christmas present from my friend, which was nice. At first, I thought this product smelt different to usual Lush products (which is like fruity, tangy, all the nice smells) It smelt just of cream. Anyway, I tried it and I can see why it's good for sensitive skin. It has a lot of oils in it and I can see how hydrating it can be for damaged or 'easily upset skins' but it seems as if my skin is alright because I found this cream horribly greasy. A little bit of Oil in creams is fine and properly good for your skin, but I think the over did it a bit. Maybe it was because I was using too much in one go but every time I used it, It left a uncomfortable layer of oil on my hands. 9/10 times, I'll end up washing my hands after using it and using a different moisturiser!
Overall, If you have sensitive skin or easily upset skin, than this cream is perfect for you, I'm not saying it isn't. With all it's natural oils and ingredients, it's probably like a hand massage in a bottle! (Or as Lush say "Life partner for sensitive skin"But for skin like mine, quite tough, It won't do you any good. I really appreciated getting this as a present because I always like trying new products, I just won't be getting this again.

Well That's my little review. What did you think? :)
